Saint Aymes Café, London

Saint Aymes Café, London

I’ve seen Saint Aymes pop up everywhere on my feed recently with its fancy purple flower décor on the outside of the café which, I’m not gonna lie, makes a really good Instagram photo and one of the main reasons why I wanted to visit. I also recently found out that they have 24-carat gold coffees on their menu, which made me even more curious to try it out – I mean, I’ve never tried drinking gold before, has anyone?!

When we arrived, the outside décor was as we expected; beautifully decorated with purple flowers, but we were surprised to see that it was smaller than we thought. The inside was also decorated with a lovely flower wall next to the tables, and there were a lot of cakes to choose from.

Although it was a small café, it did have a downstairs seating area, and it was also decorated like the upstairs with a flower wall, and had a lovely pink velvet sofa which was obviously designed for Instagrammers to snap away!

On their menu, they offered beverages like cappuccino, unicorn latte, mocha and hot chocolate which were all sprinkled with 24-carat gold on them, like how amazing is that? They also offered alternatives like teas and milkshakes. I, of course, HAD to go for the unicorn latte, which was a pink latte (you can opt for a pink or blue colour) with pink sprinkles on top. I didn’t know what to expect from a unicorn latte, I was hoping I’d grow wings or something after drinking it but it just tasted like a normal latte haha! It was a really good coffee though. My boyfriend ordered a mocha and it tasted SO good! The chocolate flavour was rich but not too sickly, and you could still taste the strong coffee flavour too. Definitely recommend the mocha. Their coffee does cost significantly more than what you’d usually pay for a coffee – £7.50 for one, so be prepared to splash out a bit if you’re thinking of visiting.

We also ordered a dessert to share – we had the waffles with berries and ice cream (we chose matcha ice cream). It was so delicious! They didn’t have a lot of food choices on their menu though, mostly just cakes, waffles or ice cream, so I’d say it’s more of a dessert stop than a place for brunch.

Overall, we were so happy that we visited Saint Aymes and we will definitely come here again. Their coffees are seriously good, although the gold didn’t make much difference to the taste haha! But you do feel a million dollars afterwards 😉 We definitely recommend it as a luxury dessert café and one to look out for if you’re in London!
