During our stay in Lisbon, we wanted to stay in a hotel that would be comfortable, spacious and modern, whilst also being a quiet getaway. When we spotted the Altis Prime Hotel, it looked so inviting that we just had to book it! As it’s an apartment hotel, it is open plan and very spacious, and almost felt like a real home rather than a hotel room! The perfect place for our 4 night stay.
The hotel looked sophisticated and chic, and we were very lucky to be upgraded to a premium room. The room gave off a warm and cosy vibe, and I just loved the minimal décor.
The room came with its own kitchen area, lounge, study/desk area and a small dining area with a table and chairs.

Location:
The location is a very important factor for us, as we like to be able to travel easily to see the main tourist spots, and also be close to the city centre and other shopping areas. Altis Prime is situated in Avenida de Liberdade, a street that is lined with luxury shops and restaurants and only a 20 minute walk away from the Baixa District, which is the nearest city centre and a well-known tourist spot.
It is also easy to get to from the airport by train; go from Aeroporto train station to Rossio station, which takes about 20-30 minutes. Then it’s about a 10 minute walk from Rossio station to the hotel.
Local cafés and restaurants:
There was plenty of choice when it came to choosing where to eat. Here are some of my recommendations:
Of course, you have to pay a visit to the Fábrica Da Nata café for their famous Portuguese custard tarts! It is on the Avenida de Liberdade street and only about a 10-15 minute walk downhill from the hotel. They are seriously so good!
If you love sushi, then you’ll love Sushisan! It is a sushi buffet restaurant, which means you can eat as much sushi as you like for only $18 per person! It is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Overall, we’d rate Altis Prime a 5/5, and the staff were also really friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend it as a great place to stay if you’re looking to visit Lisbon!
