Happy new year 2020! 2019 was a good year for me, even if I did have moments where I struggled along the way. One thing this year has taught me is to remember that you have to walk before you can run, and be patient with yourself. Trust the journey that you’re on, and good things will happen in the right time.
Highlights of 2019:
Meeting up with many of my old friends, whom I hadn’t seen in a long time. Sometimes work and life can get on top of me, and it was refreshing to be able to catch up with friends and forget for a moment about all of the troubles and just have a good time together! I also met many new friends too this year, and feel so grateful for all the people in my life.
Travel:
Had a much needed trip to Hong Kong, which I was missing so much as I hadn’t been back in 5 years! It is like my second home, and it felt so good to be back and see my friends and family there too. Although HK has been in a bad state for months now (as I’m sure you know), I hope that the city will be at peace soon. I also travelled to Thailand which was a nice, relaxing trip!
I went on my first press trip to Lisbon with my bf, which was so much fun! Lisbon is such a beautiful place, and now I can tick it off my bucket list 😀
Collaborations:
I collaborated with many amazing brands, some of my favourite collaborations included American Tourister, Desenio, Mapiful and Estée Lauder. It was also a pleasure to work again with previous brands that I love such as Cluse, Hachu, Beauty & Go and Dermalogica. I began working with many restaurants this year, which was a new area for me and was so enjoyable! One of my favourite moments was when my bf and I were invited to the Shard View leading up to Christmas, which was such a wonderful experience!
I was featured in the Blogosphere magazine issue 21, which was such an honour to be chosen alongside other talented and creative bloggers!
Lifestyle & Work:
I attended my loved ones’ weddings, and I absolutely love weddings <3 I will also be a bridesmaid to my best friend’s wedding next year, which is so exciting!
Started my own little business in social media marketing, which is still a work in progress but I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur, so I decided to just go for it and see what happens. It was a big learning curve and much more difficult that I thought; there were many times when I just wanted to give up. But anything new is always a challenge, and I’m up for it! Quit my job and will be starting a new job as a social media manager in the new year! So much has happened this year and I am so grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way and to those who have stuck by me and supported me. I never take anything for granted, so thank you!
New Year’s Resolutions:
I’m going to keep my resolutions short and simple this year. I just wish for good health and happiness, to be more present, less screen time, be less hard on myself, keep in touch with friends, and travel more!
What were your most memorable moments of 2019 and what are your goals for 2020?
