I’m excited to write a review about this place~ I have to say, this restaurant is amazing 😀 The food was sooo good, it may even be the best Korean restaurant I’ve tried so far in the UK! Kimchee is located in Holborn, London. The restaurant is quite big and there’s usually a lot of people there, but luckily we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. For starters, we ordered ddeokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and mandu (chicken/veg dumplings). The ddeokbokki was good, but very spicy. If you like your food really spicy, then you’ll enjoy this dish. It was quite a large plate too.
The mandu/dumplings were also very nicely cooked. It came with soy sauce.
For mains, I ordered jajang myeon (black bean noodles) with seafood and pork. It was delicious. Love a good jajang myeon <3
My boyfriend ordered his favourite~ galbitang (a soup made from beef ribs with carrots, radish and egg). He ordered rice with it. This was really nice too, and again, it was quite a large portion. Compared to other galbitangs we’ve tried, we could really taste the flavour in this one.
We were really satisfied with our meals, and the service here was also very good. We will definitely come back here again! If you have any suggestions of other Korean restaurants you’ve tried, please feel free to comment below! I would love to hear from you.
